What happens when an average, over-40 school teacher realizes God is calling her for a special and unique purpose in life? And what if that calling takes her from her comfort zone in the Southern USA all the way to Ghana, West Africa?

Two Watches: The Extraordinary Call of an Ordinary Woman is the highly personal journey through two years of the life of Anita Tarlton Sikes. Beginning with her surrender to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the book traces people and events that eventually lead Anita to Ghana for the first time. While there, she realizes is destined to return to Ghana many more times. She describes the strong emotional bonds and deep personal friendships that were forged in that first trip. She also describes her fears and failures, and how she wrestled with the difficulties she faced both at home and abroad. Continuing through her second journey, the book illustrates the changes she felt as one who was returning with a more secure realization of her purpose. The story concludes with a look into her past as she relates her upbringing and life experiences to the future of her call to Africa.
